18. Online Advertising, Tracking Technologies and Your Choices
We advertise our insurance services online, including on social media and on other websites and apps. To do that, we and our advertising partners use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies on our website.
These technologies collect online identifiers and activity information such as your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you view on our site, and the actions you take here — for example starting a quote, clicking to call, or submitting a form. We use that information to measure whether our ads work, to avoid showing you ads for something you have already done, and to show our ads to you and to people with similar interests.
Our current advertising, analytics and measurement partners are Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads), Meta Platforms (advertising on Facebook and Instagram), Hotjar (website behavior analytics) and AudienceLab (audience building and measurement). We may add or remove partners over time and will update this Privacy Policy when we do.
Identity resolution. AudienceLab uses a pixel on our website that attempts to match visitors against its own identity database. Where a match is made, we may receive, or be able to build an advertising audience from, personal information that we did not collect from you directly — for example a name, postal address, email address, or a scrambled (hashed) identifier — together with the fact that you visited our site and what you did here. 19. Quotes and Policy Information Handled on Carrier or Partner Websites
We are a licensed Allstate agency. If you choose to start or complete an auto insurance quote on Allstate’s own website, you leave our website. From that point Allstate Insurance Company collects and uses your information under its own online privacy statement and terms of use, not under this Privacy Policy. Allstate’s online privacy statement is available in the privacy center on allstate.com.
The same is true if you choose to share your existing coverage through our policy-connection partner, Canopy Connect. Information you enter on that partner’s site is governed by that partner’s own privacy policy.
From these companies we receive only what we need in order to prepare or service your quote or policy — for example, confirmation that a quote was started, and the coverage details you agree to share with us.
